The Marina Barrage is actually a really really nice place to visit as you get a beautiful view of the Singapore city skyline. The grassy patch at the top is also a nice place to have picnics and dare I say even solemnisations. It's a romantic place to take your date to as well 
Good place to bring visitors to. I will definitely come back during the day to see the day view.
